Points, Levels & Leaderboard
GymMaps runs on its community: every equipment list, price, and photo came from someone who trained there. Points are how that work is recognised, levels are the long game, and the leaderboard is the monthly race.

Levels
Points climb you through 10 levels, from Newbie π₯ at 0 points to Gym Rat π at 5,000. Your current level and progress to the next one show on your profile, and on the Profile Card you can share.
The leaderboard
The leaderboard ranks the top 50 contributors in two modes:
- Monthly: points earned in the last 30 days. This is a rolling window, so newcomers can compete from day one; last monthβs champion starts each month at zero like everyone else.
- All-time: the overall standings since GymMaps began.
A realistic week of points
Say youβre travelling and train five times: three check-ins at gyms already on the map (+30), one gym you add yourself (+25), a review of your favourite (+5), and a corrected opening-hours suggestion (+5). Thatβs 65 points in a normal training week: no grinding, just logging the training you were doing anyway.
