Gym Pages

Every gym on GymMaps has a detail page built to answer one question: should I train here? Here’s everything a gym page shows, section by section.

Gym page in the GymMaps app showing a Bali gym with its rating, photo gallery and Update Info, Rate and Share buttonsGym page details in GymMaps showing day pass pricing with live currency conversion, martial arts disciplines, training areas and amenities

Overview

At the top: the gym’s name, a gym type badge (🏋️ fitness or 🥊 martial arts), the address, the community rating, and the photo gallery.

Opening hours & open-now status

Hours are listed for every day of the week with a live open/closed indicator. The system handles the real-world mess of gym schedules: 24/7-access gyms, overnight windows, split weekday hours, and days marked closed all display correctly.

Day pass price, in your currency

The day pass price shows in the gym’s local currency and automatically converted to your preferred currency, using live exchange rates. GymMaps supports 26 currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, JPY, THB, IDR, MXN, and more. Set yours once in settings and every price in the app reads in money you actually think in.

Wondering what day passes cost around the world? Our day pass guide and the Gym Travel Guide break it down by country.

Equipment & brands

A structured list of what’s actually on the floor (racks, platforms, bars, machines, cardio, and conditioning kit), plus the brands the gym stocks (Rogue, Eleiko, Hammer Strength, Panatta, and more). This is contributed and kept current by the community, and it’s what powers the equipment filters on the map. If a term on the list is unfamiliar, the gym equipment glossary explains what every item is and why it matters.

Disciplines & classes

For martial arts gyms: which arts are taught and trained, such as Muay Thai, BJJ, boxing, MMA, and more.

Amenities

Everything that matters when you’re training out of a backpack: showers, lockers, WiFi, parking, sauna, ice bath, towel service, supplements shop, 24/7 access, cafe, and more.

Photos & walkthrough videos

The community gallery is filterable by type:

  • Walkthroughs: video tours of the whole facility, the single most useful thing for deciding whether a gym is worth the taxi ride.
  • Equipment: photos tagged to specific equipment, brands, or amenities, so a photo can prove the squat rack exists.

Anyone can contribute media. See Photos & Videos.
